Concert Series announced

The Concert Series, which brings together both local and nationally-known musicians for performances at Eastport Arts Center each summer under the direction of organizer Greg Biss, has been announced for 2026.

On July 10 at 7 pm, cellist Dan Allcott and pianist Greg Biss will perform pieces by Beethoven, Brahms, Casella and Faure, including Cassado’s Solo Cello Suite, Beethoven’s Piano Sonata opus 110, Brahms’  Cello/Piano Sonata in e minor and Faure’s Elegy. More information

On July 24, guitarist Aaron Larget-Kaplan will perform songs written by revolutionaries and rockstars alike with pieces including "Lift Every Voice and Sing" (1900), the "Star Spangled Banner" (1814), Paul Simon's "America" (1968), and Eddie Van Halen's "316" (1986). Joining Larget-Caplan will be Gregory Biss on piano and a second musician, TBA. More information

On August 7, contemporary classical pianist pianist Danny Holt will explore the intersection of classical music with rock, pop, and jazz in his “Not Strictly Classical” program. Los Angeles based composer Mike Garson (known for his work with David Bowie, Nine Inch Nails, and others) fuses his classical and jazz roots in eclectic works that are uniquely his own, defying traditional genre categories; New York based jazz/pop phenom Jon Batiste reimagines Chopin through his own lens; and Japanese composer Karen Tanaka’s “Techno Etudes” are a playful evocation of electronic music. Stunningly beautiful works by French jazz/hip-hop pianist Sofiane Pamart and others round out the program, including pieces from beloved film scores such as “Amelie”, “The Piano”, and “Interstellar”. More information

On August 21, violist Anne Black will perform. More information about that concert will be forthcoming soon.
