About the event

On Saturday, May 2, a full day of speakers and events is planned as we continue the celebration and recognition of the restoration efforts that have been happening for the Skutik (St. Croix) River and the Passamaquoddy Bay watersheds - and discuss what more needs to be done, and how we each can help. Upstairs in the theater, events will run between 10 am to 12 noon and 1 to 5. Information booths will be arranged downstairs, along with a light lunch and refreshments.


  • Documentary film clip screenings and discussions

  • Guest speakers sharing their work; their missions; their plans for future projects

  • Introduction panel: Eric Altvater, Buck (Brian) Altvater, Sakom (Chief) Hugh Akagi, Don Sprangers, Alan Furth, Laura Rose Day, Geo Neptune

  • Performance of Becoming Seagrass - play written by Glenn Page

  • A model of the watershed

  • Cipelahq Ehpicik (Thunder Women) drumming group

  • Hands-on fish prints with Coleen O'Connell

  • Sammy the Salmon from Protect Maine’s Fishing Heritage welcoming guests
