Take Ten: Crafting the Short Play

Join playwright and director Daniel Reynolds for a two-day workshop (Sunday, December 7 & 14) exploring the art of the ten-minute play. Participants will learn how to craft concise, compelling stories that come alive on stage; developing characters, structure, and dialogue with clarity and punch. Through guided exercises, discussion, and peer feedback, each participant will draft an original short play ready for performance.

As part of the Stage East Workshop Series, this class offers an exciting opportunity to see your work come to life: completed plays will be selected and further developed in the Stage Directing workshop to be held in January and February, culminating in a public presentation. Whether you’re a seasoned writer or new to playwriting, this collaborative, hands-on class will spark your creativity and give your voice a stage.
