About the event
While much of the U.S. has lost its nighttime darkness, Maine's night skies are among the darkest east of the Mississippi - and so provide excellent opportunity for viewing stellar objects near and far.

Join astronomer Frank Dudish, professor of physics and astronomy at the University of Maine, as he shares some of what we can expect to see when we look up into that vast expanse above us. Frank teaches introductory classes and is adept at conveying information in a way that's easy and enjoyable to understand.
This presentation is offered at no cost; donations are gratefully appreciated if you're able to help support our ongoing mission of providing quality programming to the greater community.
