About the event
Eastport Arts Center is thrilled to continue a tradition of hosting high school theater when a troupe of local teens presents Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream on May 31 and June 1. A project of the Shead Theater Club, the play is being adapted and directed by instructor Ian Campbell.
"We are incredibly excited to be performing on the EAC stage,” wrote Campbell. "The energy level just rehearsing there has gone through the roof.”
Cast members include Megan Ford, Hermia; Madeline Collins, Titania; Toby Wallander, Lysander/Puck; Cypher Urland, Oberon; Lillyana Avila, Helena; Reagan Gardner, Demetrius; Jade Newell, Oberon’s fairy; and as Titania’s fairies, Lilly Ford, Lucy Collins and Courtney Kierstead.
Christopher Watson is production master; Madeline Collins is doing costumes; and Toby Wallander is props master and created the poster art.
Performances will be on Friday, May 31 at 7 pm, and Saturday, June 1 at 2 pm and 7 pm. Tickets are $12; attendees 17 and under will be admitted free of charge, and no one will be turned away for lack of funds.
