Time & Location

Eastport Arts Center, 36 Washington St, Eastport, ME 04631, USA
About the event
Celebrate your connections with Pride with arts educator Danielle Metta in this workshop offering three separate Pride-themed crafts and an afternoon of creative relaxation.
“Pride art isn’t just decoration,” Danielle says. “Throughout history, people have used creativity to celebrate themselves, support each other, protest unfairness, and build community. Every flag, sign, bracelet, and artwork added to Pride helps tell the story that everyone deserves to belong.”
The first craft, “Show Your Colors”, will provide a station for participants to make Pride flags and posters for a variety of purposes. The second station, “Tell Your Story”, provides a place for participants to create mini handmade zines in honor of the long connection between the Pride community and handmade publications. The third craft, “Art You Can Wear”, will be a station where participants can make fabric boas and bracelets.
All ages; youth 13 and under must be accompanied by an adult. No one turned away due to lack of funds.
