Nine-Patch Pillow Covers

This two-day class, led by experienced fabric arts instructor Ann Cannizzaro will teach you how to make a removable cover for a new 18” throw pillow. A traditional Nine-Patch pattern block will be taught with step-by-step instructions provided. Choosing fun colors and patterns, your creation can be given as a gift, or used to refresh couch pillows in your home.  Once you learn the basics, this process can be modified and used in many ways to create cool covers for all of your pillows. 

Materials will be provided to make one cover for one 18” pillow. You can bring pillows from home or purchase pillows and then customize your covers. Beginner and seasoned sewists alike are welcome to attend. Sewing machines provided.

All stitching will use straight seams and quarter inch seam allowances.

Session 1 (October 19) will focus on the front design, and basic sewing techniques.

Session 2 (October 20) will focus on preparing the back, and putting the cover together.
