Mike Levine's Miami Spice in concert

From Salsa to Samba, Cha Cha to Cumbia, and Bossa Nova to Bolero—with some Swing, Blues, and Funk thrown in—Mike Levine and the “Miami Spice” sextet deliver an exciting and energetic musical experience. Audiences can expect a blend of original compositions and well-known cover tunes, all performed with a distinctive Latin Jazz influence.

The group is made up of six accomplished musicians, including three from Florida and three from Maine and New Hampshire. Leading the ensemble is nationally recording contemporary jazz pianist, writer, and producer Mike Levine. Joining him from Florida are drummer Sam Levine (Mike’s son) and the driving force behind the group, multiple Latin Grammy-winning percussionist Richard Bravo.

Rounding out the sextet are three veteran New England musicians: bassist Al Hospers; Mike Sakash, Director of Music and Arts Department Chair at Fryeburg Academy, on woodwinds; and guitarist Jarrod Taylor, who also teaches at Plymouth State University.
