Leslie Bowman: "Other Worlds" exhibition opening

While perhaps known best for her representational paintings of fish and other subjects of the garden and home, Leslie Dale Bowman will be presenting a group of non-objective paintings that explore the search for forms and environments beyond our perceived reality.

Many of these are large paintings and this is an opportunity to show them to the Eastport community in the spacious Eastport Arts Center Gallery.

Bowman began painting in Eastport in the 1970s and today lives and works in Trescott. She has been on the faculty of the University of Maine at Machias, works as a professional photographer documenting Eastern Maine and maintains a studio of diverse media including clay, digital art and photography as well as painting. The artist will be at the gallery on Saturday from 3-4 to meet with visitors and discuss the work.

Refreshments will be served. The exhibit will be on view through through September 26 during events.
