Lee Suta Jazz Jam Showcase

In celebration of the light that was Lee Suta, we are officially naming this Saturday's annual occasion as the "Lee Suta Jazz Jam Showcase", a name it will bear henceforth.

The EAC will turn into a jazz club on Saturday, September 26 as the Way DownEast Jazz Jammers present their first annual jazz showcase. “We have been playing the 3rd Saturday of the month at the Old Sow to a growing and appreciative crowd and are excited for the chance to bring some great jazz standards to the Arts Center”, says Joan Lowden, aka “the Basslady”. “Our program will include tunes by Miles Davis, Thelonius Monk, the Gershwins, Van Morrison, Antonio Carlos Jobim and more!”

Jammers:

Susan Luthin-trumpet, Wyatt Beers-sax, Chris Farr-piano, Art Lindemanis-bass, Brendan Sohre-drums, Oen Kennedy-guitar/vocals, Manuela Brice, Penny Young, Heather Macnaughton-vocals.

$15 suggested donation. No one will be turned away due to lack of funds. Beer, wine and sodas will be available for purchase.
