Jackson Gillman: Telling Stories with Meaning

Do you have a personal story you'd like to share? In this workshop with celebrated storyteller Jackson Gillman, participants will explore processes of crafting material from real life experiences to build stories that have the ability to “grab” an audience. Various group exercises will prompt participants to mine their own personal nuggets worthy of polishing.

The workshop is for everyone, from beginners to people who have been writing for years and are looking for new ways to tell their stories.  The workshop will begin at 10 am and run to 2 pm with a time built in for a noontime lunch (included in price).

The Downeast Storytellers series is made available a partnership between Eastport Arts Center, the Quoddy Tides, and the Sipayik Museum with funding provided by the Maine Humanities Council.
