This 2-day workshop will culminate in a 1-hour performance of short form improv for the public!


Saturday, June 21: Workshop 10AM-5PM

Sunday, June 22: Workshop 1PM-4PM, Show 6:30PM


Jennie Roberson will be teaching actors of skill levels the basics of improv - its history, its usefulness both on stage and off. She will cover tenets of improv including:

  • listening and agreement

  • object work and environment

  • the basics of “yes, and”

  • justification


Jennie has been teaching improv for well over ten years. Her warm, friendly, and inclusive approach makes learning the basic tenets of improv easy, accessible, and fun for performers of all levels! 


Jennie has been with Upright Citizens Brigade in Los Angeles and other reputable improv schools since 2009. She has studied extensively under Will Hines (UCB Comedy Originals, Between Two Ferns, Comedy Bang Bang); Jim Woods (Jury Duty; Superstore; The Office); Oscar Montoya (DropoutTV, Minx); Sarah Claspell (DropoutTV, Brooklyn Nine-Nine); Joel Spence (Big Little Lies); and Craig Cackowski (Drunk History, Wine Country.)


A heralded performer, her two-person team, Purse Chair, has played in venues all over California.
