Eastport Arts Center is pleased to collaborate with Capriccio Arts, the downtown Eastport studio and gallery of artist Anne Black, to offer workshops in ceramic hand-building and gelatin printing in September.

First will be Hand-built Clay with local ceramic artist Barbara Moskol, from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, Wednesday, September 4. Students will enjoy experiencing the joy of hand-forming clay as they follow Moskol’s lead through the process of creating a small bowl or mug. The students’ creations will be fired off-site and returned to the gallery for pickup.

All materials are included; students should bring an apron or smock to wear. There is a limit of five students for this workshop, which has been designed for ages 18 and up. Session cost is $60 per student. Reservations are required (below) or by email to workshops@eastportartscenter.org.

This session has been supported by the Belvedere Traditional Handcrafts Fund of the Maine Community Foundation.

Capricco Arts is at 69 Water Street in downtown Eastport. Please note that there are two shallow steps that must be ascended to enter the building. Additional information may be found at eastportartscenter.org and at capriccioarts.com.
