Gelli Print Play Day with Jen Maffett

Eastport Arts Center will offer a ‘Gelli Print Play Day’, 1-3 pm, Saturday, April 5, with Jen Maffett. This 'everything but the kitchen sink' session will use everyday objects to create fascinating monoprints. All materials are included; ages 12 and up are welcome; students 8 and up may attend with an adult helper.

Eastport Gallery artist Jen Maffett works in a variety of mediums but prefers those that offer some happenstance in the process. Making monoprints with found objects is particularly satisfying and always has unexpected but often rewarding results. She also uses ink and colored pencils to create colorful imagery that reflects her love of the land and sea. Other creative endeavors include fabric design, stitchery and book making.

Fees are $20/person or for a team of adult and child. The session has been supported by the Belvedere Traditional Handcrafts Downeast Fund of the Maine Community Foundation. Space is limited…
