For anyone who has helped raise a child, Jackson Gillman will have you laughing and sighing in recognition of the challenges and delights of child-rearing in this comedic and musical storytelling event. Free and open to the public!


The Downeast Storytellers series is made available a partnership between Eastport Arts Center, the Quoddy Tides, and the Sipayik Museum with funding provided by the Maine Humanities Council. 


About the presenter

Jackson Gillman has performed across the country for decades and for his excellence in storytelling been presented with the National Storytelling Network’s Oracle Award. He also was inducted into the Network’s Circle of Excellence. Gillman is known for his theatricality, liveliness, and humor. He incorporates song, mime, comedy, dance, and even sign language into his performances. Gillman has taught college storytelling courses and is frequently engaged for private coaching by a wide range of professional colleagues.
