Crochet a Fall Shawl with Kathryn Lewis

Learn how to crochet a lightweight shawl in this two-day workshop led by Kathryn Lewis. Participants will be guided through the steps of shawl creation along with some foundational techniques (participants will ideally already have basic knowledge of the craft). The stitches involved are chain stitch, single and double crochet stitches.  

Participants should bring their own yarn (three balls of 3 1/2 oz, 292 yards, 100gram each) and their own hooks (hooks available if needed).

Lewis (shown below) looks forward to sharing the craft of crochet with others. “My grandmother crocheted and her fingers flew so fast, I just had to learn. My left-handed aunt taught me the basics and I've been crocheting for nearly 70 years,” says Lewis, who is right-handed.
