Craftober: Hand-crafted Journals with Jen Maffett

Join artist Jen Maffett on Sunday, October 19, from 1-3 pm for a Hand-crafted Journal Making Workshop! Using the elegant Japanese Stab Binding technique, participants will create a one-of-a-kind journal. Perfect for capturing travel memories, sketches, or personal reflections.

This hands-on workshop offers a fun and relaxing way to learn a traditional bookbinding method while crafting a beautiful keepsake to take home.

Tickets are available for this event ($40) or as a bundle as part of Craftober ($100 for all four workshops). Or choose to stream the workshop(s) ($20/$50) from home!

About the presenter:

Jen is a maker of books. As an illustrator and writer, it is a fitting occupation! She uses a variety of materials to handcraft art journals and collection books. You can find her books at eastportgallery.com/Jennifer-maffett.  Japanese stab-binding books are a beautiful example of a book to keep records. Jen will help you craft a journal to record vacation memories or to create memories as a gift for someone. Or maybe just use it for writing or sketching.
