Call for Art

Invitation
Artists, you are invited to submit art for consideration of being featured on the EAC’s winter greeting card. The artist whose work is selected will receive a $100 stipend. Note that this card will be used for fundraising purposes.

Theme
We are looking for a wintery scene or artwork that is inspired by winter climate, colors, ideas or emotions.

Deadline
October 21, 5pm ET

How Your Art Will Be Used
If selected your art will be printed on a 5”x 7” or 7”x 5” card with a white border (portrait or landscape depends on artwork). The ratio of your art does not have to be 5:7 but to be considered it will need to sit well in that space and be able to reproduce well at that size. A full bleed is not an option and images that are not high quality enough cannot be considered.

Your artwork will not be cropped or manipulated. Credit, original dimensions and mediums will be included on the back of the card.

The winning artist will have the option to provide a PDF showing a suggested placement of your art within the 5” x 7” space but it is not required.

Eligibility
Open to artists near or far with an affinity for Eastport and Downeast.

Entries must represent original works that fit within the theme of “winter.” You must own the rights of this image, and the work should have been produced without the primary
use of AI image-generator tools.

Any original medium is acceptable, including digital art and photographs of 3-D art.

Submission Guidelines
You may submit up to three entries. Please use a separate form for each entry. JPG or PNG file formats are accepted. The file should be no smaller than 1000 pixels or 13 inches wide in either direction and should have a DPI of 150 (300 preferred). Maximum file size is 50MB.
