Guidelines for Reporting Volunteer Hours

Thank you for taking the time to record the hours spent doing the great things you do to help the EAC run smoothly.

Please use this as a guide for how to categorize your activity.

​

  • Maintenance: includes cleaning, painting, repairing and also includes setting up electronics etc.

  • Operations: includes anything to keep things running such as manning the box office, purchasing supplies, creating schedules etc.

  • PR/Communications: includes print and posters to web and socials

  • Exhibition Management: Anything to do with Washington Gallery or any other exhibitions in other locations. Scheduling and promotions and receptions are also included.

  • Money Management: includes anything to do with transactions or inventory management from tax reports to going to the post-office to mail checks.

  • Community Outreach: includes special events like Kinder Arts or Festival of Trees as well as party prep and hosting.

  • Meetings: includes general meetings and the documentation (minutes) and creation of agendas etc. However, meetings about specific events would be logged under the event (such as Poetry Contest or Festival of the Trees).

Another category for event support or tech support? Or does that fit in something above ... operations or?

Event coordination? different from community outreach?  and different from exhibition mgt?

If in doubt, make your best guess and write a comment in the notes section. It's all good.
