About the event
This hands-on workshop offers an engaging introduction to the art and craft of stage directing. Designed for emerging directors, actors, and theater-makers, participants will each direct a 10-minute play while learning the essential tools of the director’s process - from script analysis and collaboration with actors to blocking, pacing, and shaping a cohesive theatrical vision. Emphasis will be placed on practical, usable techniques that help turn text into dynamic performance.
Led by director and playwright Daniel Reynolds, the class meets on February 18, 19, and 25 at 6 pm, culminating in public performances on March 13, 14, and 15. Tuition is $150 for Adults; $75 for ages 13-18; $200 Pay-it-Forward-Price; and $30 to stream at home.
Whether you’re directing for the first time or looking to strengthen your foundational skills, this workshop provides a supportive, creative environment to explore leadership, storytelling, and the collaborative heart of theater.
