Prince Edward Island Musicians Headed to EAC on May 28!—Video Sneak Peek is Here!

As part of a New England spring tour spanning Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine, fiddler Cynthia MacLeod and vocalist/multi-instrumentalist Gordon Belsher will appear at Eastport Arts Center Sunday, May 28 at 7 pm. The Prince Edward Island-based musicians are known for their musical chemistry and generous energy on stage, and are excited to bring their mix of traditional tunes to the EAC. MacLeod is an ambassador of traditional music, with a distinct style of fiddling that embraces both her local roots and her ancestral connection to the Scottish highlands. Since the beginning of her career as a teen, she has spent more than two decades on stages on PEI, across Canada, and around the world. Belsher has been entertaining audiences in Canada and around the world for more than 50 years, performing at concerts, ceilidhs, conventions, and pubs. As accompanist and featured vocalist with fiddlers Richard Wood and Cynthia MacLeod, Gordon has toured extensively across Canada, in the U.S., the U.K., Europe, Japan and Australia. Tickets, $20, will be available at the door prior to the show. Attendees 17 and under will be admitted free of charge. Eastport Arts Center is at 36 Washington Street, Eastport. EAC abides by the State of Maine CDC COVID guidelines, revisiting our policy monthly. Additionally, at this time, the use of masks in our building is optional.
